New additions to MPX Stock Images
Just added some new photos to my MPX Stock Images site from a recent shoot.
I began shooting around the Tower Bridge area, moved to St Pauls and finally ended up by the Houses of Parliament. Clouds began to roll in by the time I made my way to Vauxhall Bridge, so decided to call it a day.
The area between Tower Bridge and the Greater London Assembly building (GLA) has been landscaped since I last visited it. It looks neat but a little soulless.

It’s always a challenge to photograph Tower Bridge from a fresh angle (are there any left?). I took a chance and shot straight into the sun, which was pretty low on the horizon. Despite the flares, I quite like this composition.

While shooting down on the North Bank, I suddenly remembered I hadn’t been to St Katherine Docks for a long, long time, so sauntered over. It’s been developed almost beyond recognition since I last saw it. Parts of it looked very Mediterranean. I can see myself going back to photograph it again, or possibly to anchor my yacht! Yeah…

Moving onto St Pauls cathedral, I was much relieved to find it had been uncovered at last and I could take some photographs of the real facade, as opposed to the painted facade that was put up while work was being carried out. Unlike the shots of St Katherine Docks, I needed to work on them in Photoshop in order to spruce them up a little. I also cloned out some cranes and was tempted to clone out the Barbican building but thought that was going a bit too far for stock.

Houses of Parliament is nearly always good for a photograph, or two. I did my usual anti-clockwise circular walk, which ended as it began on Westminster Bridge. Didn’t take anything too spectacular but did take some useful stock photos.
